All my pending songs are getting completed…Here is another Malayalam song from the movie ‘Notebook’ which is one of my favourites in the recent times…My daughter Priyanka has sung this along with me. I am sorry her Malayalam diction is quite bad…yet she has managed to her best… Please forgive her for the few issues in that area. Also due to over concentration on the diction part she might have slipped on certain sangatis(harkats) too…
Please listen when you get time and give your valuable feedback…

One more Malayalam song from me …again a composition of late Raveendran from the movie “Kalippattam”, originally sung by KJY. I hereby present my version of the song. Please let me know what you think about that
Yet another cover of a Ghazal of Jagjit Singh ji. This number which is from the popular Album of Jagjit ji 'Sajda' has been my favourite since the first time I heard it.

One of the finest compositions of S P Venkatesh from the movie “DHRUVAM”. It has been in my list of songs 'to sing' since long…At last here I am with Sheba singing with me…
Please note that the ‘Alaaps(Male)’ in the beginning and the interludes were not sung by me. They were there in the Karaoke track… However Sheba has sung those swaras

Here I am with another Tamil number. This is a song which has impressed me the most in the recent times. I was not too sure if it would suit my style ….but anyway thought of giving it a try…
I have attempted this with my daughter Priyanka who has sung the female portions. I have done a few Harmonies too though kept them at a very low level as I am not sure if they were rightly done or not, so that the song if alright otherwise, should not sound awful by the poor harmonies…….
Do listen and give your feedback….

My daughter Priyanka was very keen to sing this song.I wanted my 13 year old son Gautam to sing this song with Priyanka. But he had no time to spare to sing and record…:) He is always busy playing Cricket – after all he is having his summer vacation. It was not easy to make him sing. At last I had to threaten that I will sing the male portion of this number if he does not……and it worked…He immediately got ready to sing. And here I am …uploading the song originally sung by Alisha and Atif Aslam…
Please listen and give your feedback

I am uploading a song after almost 3 months. After the death of my mother who was the main person behind my music, I was not in a mood to sing or record. However I have completed this one and am presenting to you all…
This is a NAZM written by Kafeel Aazer and originally sung by Jagjit Singhji.
Ghazal is a poetic form consisting of couplets which share a rhyme and a refrain. A Ghazal, in short, is a collection of couplets (called sher) which follow the rules of Matla, Maqta, Beher, Qaafiyaa, Radif, Khayaal and Wazan. In a Ghazal every Sher, should be an independent poem in itself though ,in some cases, it is possible for for all the Shers to be on the same theme.
A NAZM is an Urdu poetic form that is normally written in rhymed verse. It is a complete poetical work – centralization of a thought. We cannot write a part Nazm. It will be just like an incomplete story.

I am here again with a song that is probably not an easy one to sing. I have attempted this song which was a great challenge for me considering the nature of the song and the limitations I have. Moreover I was not too familiar with this song when I started to record this song. I had to sit down and learn the nuances before recording unlike many other songs which are “in my system” and will come out spontaneously while singing. I my self could see a few areas where I could have been better.
For a change I have mixed my cover version with the original visuals from the movie and have uploaded here.
Please listen to my attempt at your convenience and give your feedback…

Last week I was watching the film ‘Balettan’ on the TV. I was really moved to tears by the song in the film “Innale Ente Nenjile”. That was when I decided to sing this beautiful song created by the inimitable trio KJY-MJayachandran-Girish Puthencherry.
I am glad that I could complete the recording and mixing by today so that this is coming to you all as a Christmas special from me.
Do listen and give your feedback…Hope I did reasonable justice to the original
Wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

After a long time I am back with an upload. Being very busy in office, I hardly get time for music these days. However managed to record this song.
Singing a song of Udit Narayan for the second time. (First one being ‘Pehla Nasha’ sung with my daughter Priyanka 2 years ago. Though I feel I have tried my best to bring in the emotions and feel of the song, it is for you all to give your verdict as to how much I have succeeded in my attempt.
Looking forward to your feedback ….
Movie: Papa Kehte Hain Music Direction : Rajesh Roshan Singer : Udit Narayan Cover by : N V Krishnan
On the auspicious occasion of Ramazan, I present this lovely romantic song. Though it is not probably related anyway to the celebrations of the Festival, the arabic style of music gives it an Islamic touch and thereby a mood suitable to the season.
This song originally sung by P>Jayachandran was written by Vayalar and Composed by G> Devarajan for the movie "Aalibabayum 41 Kallanmaarum". Please listen and give your feedback..
One more of Kishore da’s song covered by me. An excellent song from the movie ‘Nishan’. As always I am presenting this song of Kishore da too with lots of concern as to whether I could do any reasonable justice to the original or not.
Thanks to Radha for requesting me to sing such a nice song… Also thanks to Mr. Dinesh Pithia ji for the Karaoke track.
Please listen to this attempt of mine and give your feedback…

Here are a few pictures taken during a stage show I did recently (on 30th August 2009 at Sivaswamy Auditorium also known as Fine Arts Hall , Chembur) in Mumbai along with a very popular Musician , composer and Singer Premkumar. We did the show exclusively on the Filmfare Awards. We presented the awardwinnong songs right from the inception of the presitigious award in 1952. My daughter Priyanka Krishnan also sang a few songs in this show.. Unfortunately I do not have a recording of the songs presented there. Hence uploading the pictures only here..
For this year's ONAM I wanted to sing and upload a Malayalam song. This is a sopng that has moved me a lot. Very nice melodious song from the movie "Devasuram" so nicely sung M G Sreekumar. I would rate this one as one of his best. This song was composed by M G Radhakrishnan, a noted musician, composer and also the elder brother of the singer M G Sreekumar. Song was written by the most popular and successful lyricist in Malayalam now - Girish Puthencherry.
Hope I have done reasonable justice to the song. I am extremely thankful to Mr. Sreeharshan Nambiar, a wonderful singer himself and an fellow blogger for all the help and assistance extended to me in getting the mixing right.. ..Thanks a lot Harshan.
I am uploading a song of my daughter Priyanka after a long time. As you can see she has very good potential as a singer if she gives more attention to music and singing which she is not able to do at present due to the priorities attached to academics .
Here she has covered a song from the movie ‘Just Married’ sung originally by Sunidhi Chauhan..Though this song somehow did not get too popular, this is one of my favourite songs of Sunidhi.
Priyanka has dedicated this song to her best friend Deepika who had requested her to sing this quite sometime back……
A special thanks to Azam bhai who promptly arranged the track ….
Friends please listen and let us know what you feel about it
I am probably being over confident of myself by trying a number like this. Absolutely a song of different genre from my usual type. Was tempted to sing this when I heard this first time ..
Please pardon me for any lapses and advice me about the areas for improvement…I have not in fact stuck to the original song fully. Especially the ending harkat was improvised a bit by me..
This song of Mukesh ji has been a favourite of millions for years. I am no exception. Though it was on my ‘to sing’ list, it was pushed further by my friend Shampak who made a request to me to sing this one. Thanks Shampak for considering me capable of doing some justice to this classic song.
I am not sure whether I did any justice or not.. Do listen and give your honest feedback. Up-loading a 128kbps version after a long time ..Hope it works..
Yesterday when I heard this Malayalam song rendered by Keerthi , U K based friend of mine who is also an extremely talented singer ,I could not resist the temptation to sing this ..As the track and lyrics were quite handy and I also could find the much needed time for that..
And here is my version of this lovely Devotional song in my voice.. This is my first attempt at a Christian Devotional song. If the Feel and expressions and also the pronounciation are not right , please pardon me and also advice me.
Hope I did a reasonably acceptable version. In fact I have not heard the original at all..So please excuse me for any deviations
Your feedback will be highly appreciated. And last but not least .. Thank you very much Keerthi, for introducing me to such a lovely song.
Though this is a fresh recording done now, this was the first song I had recorded in my voice with a Karaoke. That was around 2 years ago. Being a song I was singing after almost 25 years with so much of seriousness, with the Back ground music and that too in front of a microphone in a professional recording studio, the outcome was obviously not up to the mark.
I decided to redo the song and here I am…This is definitely better than my earlier recording though how good it is….it is for you all to decide…
